Part II Condo Association and Car Rental Rip off. On day I put a rented car in my parking lot for just few hours. Condo association does not call me. It calls the towing company like it is violation of the condo policy. First of all, my car in my parking space did not bother anybody. Second, I got only one sticker for one car but few dozens temp guest passes. So, my car in repair shop, and I am not a guest to my household. What am I supposed to do? Call the condo association, but they are closed at 7pm anyway. After work, I call association and said what I think about their towing activity. As always, they are deaf, stupid, and rude. “My name is Darlene, American Condo Association” I am calling about the towing of my car, I live at 708 Shalom Drive, apartment 2K “What, excuse me, can you hold for a moment?” I waited 5 minutes, she hangs up on me. I called her again, she said that American management company handles tow service “What is their number?” I ask “Their number is 999-911-9111, something like this.” she murmurs to me very quickly. “Say it again, slowly” I ask. She hangs up the phone. After 3rd call, she gives me correct number. Her real name is not Darlene, her real name is Trash Woman, Ms. Rude Attitude. So, I called to Management company and another bitchy girl faxed me 7 pages of boring rules and regulations. I tried to explain my story: “First of all, my car in my parking space, it did not bother anybody. Second, I got only one sticker for one car, but few dozens temp guest passes. So, my car in repair shop, and I am not a guest to my household. What am I supposed to do? Call the condo association, but they are closed at 7pm anyway.” But does she listen? Does she speak English fluently? So, I’ll probably sue these fascists in small claim court. Yet, I am not sure, that judge will be on my side. It looks that I did violate the policy, but condo should listen to tenants, homeowners. I can try to add all these towing expenses, taxi cab, missed work and emotional stress, medical bills. The worst case scenario is that I will pay another hundred dollars for filing the law case against the condo, plus their legal fees. So, I ‘ll think twice before I go to ugly Court building. Anyway at about 6pm my car is ready and I bring the rented car back to the Azis. The hidden rip off is I come to the office; and it was almost 5 minutes to 6pm, close time. “Did you refill gasoline? and ”How many miles did you drive?” she asked. I did not refill gas and I drove about 50 miles, but she gave me a bill for 58 dollars, what a rip off! “You drove 100 miles, and we have 5 dollars per mile, it is our police” was her ugly reply. She gives me invoice for 59 dollars and smiles to me. I want to throw this bill in her face, step on her real bad, but I have patience, and I know. She will call the police few minutes later, battery charges, up to 1 year in prison for rip off feelings. So, I leave this freaking office and drive home to relax. Should I complain to Azis headquarters, BBB, government agents, small claims court or leave them along?
